I synced my Charge and my workout changed and I lost 5,000 steps. Help!

My dashboard showed I was on 16,700 (ish) steps. Then when it auto-synced a few minutes later, it dropped down to 11,778. The workout I did also changed from 5km to 1.2km. It's never done anything like this before. The calories have stayed the same. Very strange

It's great to see you in the Community @Lisatg. This behaviour sounds weird. Please perform a restart to your Charge HR. Additionally, it could be a good idea setting up your tracker as a replacement device. If you ever experience the same issue please let me know which workout were you doing to further investigate.

Hope to see you around more often. Cat Happy

Thanks for the prompt reply. I ended up deleting the app and putting it back on this morning. The loss of steps happened with my Charge, and my Surge did something similar this morning. The only thing I can link it to is the change in time for Daylight Saving. Does restarting cause data to be lost?

@Lisatg Restarting your Fitbit trackers shouldn't cause data to be lost. However, switching between trackers might be a reason of getting steps going up/down. I would recommend making sure you sync the tracker you just used, before your second tracker transfers its information. If the tracker you left at home syncs before the one you bring from the walk, the information shown in your Dashboard will be innacurate. You can force sync if necessary. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I moved this thread to the Surge board because it's seems to be more related to the topic. Catch you later. Cat Happy
