Incorrect (previous) GPS picture

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This may be a trivial subject, but on a few of my runs, as pictured within the "weekly exercise" frame, an incorrect (previous) GPS picture is shown. However, the correct map is shown if I hit the arrow to the right of the map. I have one run where the summary run never resolves, but again, I can click the arrow to the right and get the map. Must be a glitch. Anybody know if this is fixable, or something we have to accept?

This is really good feedback! I'd like to confirm the platform your using to see your  weekly exercise and the model of your phone. If you can include some screenshots it'd be great! I'm looking forward to see the options to fix this issue!

Please keep me posted! Smiley Happy

VaTech75,

Did you ever get a solution to your problem? I'm having the exact same problem with my Surge. I had to delete the app and reload it to fix it, but I'm certainly not doing that each time!

Thanks for joining us @drm1978! I totally understand your disgust about this issue. By any change do you have some screenshots about it, so I can check them with our team. Robot Happy

Also let me know if force quitting the Fitbit App does any difference. Confirm the following information:

  • Is your phone in the list of supported devices?
  • Make sure that both phone and Fitbit App are up to date

Keep me posted please!

You can see that the gps routes don’t match, but the distance (3.17 miles) and pace (8’32”) match. The route on the detail screen is the correct one. The one from the exercise screen is from a past run.

The app is running on an iPhone 6s. Both the app and operating system are up to date.

Force quitting the app doesn’t fix the problem. Deleting the app and reloading it, however, does.

Thanks!

I want to point out that deleting the app and reinstalling it is not an “accepted solution.”  Doing that only temporarily solved the problem. It eventually reappeared.

Ok, thanks, Dave. I was afraid that might be the case. I’ll consider the issue unsolved then, and I’m not going to bother to delete and reinstall the app.

Hello,

Just for those on this thread, I have not received any correspondence from the Fitbit folks, so there’s been no resolution to the problem provided yet.

Hey there @drm1978 and @VaTech75, sorry about the issues that you're having to connect your Fitbit! Please make sure your phone and Fitbit App are up to date too. Also, try to force quite the Fitbit App before trying to sync again.

I'll be around, I hope this helps! Smiley Happy

Hello!

I believe that I answered this question already when you asked me to give you screen shots of the problem, but I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 11.2.

If necessary, I can perform the syncing steps you requested, but as I've said earlier in this thread, removing and reinstalling the app on my phone does indeed fix the problem, but only temporarily. I'll do it again, but it'll be difficult to tell if the problem is fixed permanently.

------

I performed the syncing steps as described and there was no change. There are still cases where the route map shown on the exercise summary/history screen doesn't match the route map shown on the detail screen.

In the past, I had to delete the app from my iPhone and then re-install it to temporarily fix the problem.

You're right @drm1978, I found the information you gave in your previous post. Thanks a lot for confirming! Sorry you're still having syncing issues after trying all the TS steps! I'll pass this information to our team. If you have the screenshot to share with us, it would be great! That will help a lot.

I'll be updating the thread as soon as we have more details about it.

Thanks for your patience. Cat Happy
