Surge is not indicating the right hour. I was travelling in a different time zone, the hour was up-dated, but coming back I still have the other time zone hour. The Surge is set to display the network hour...

Hi @alanrichey, thanks for the clarification! In regards to your inquiries. Yes, you need to sync with the Fitbit App using your phone, if you want to have the same time on both. Same thing with a computer, since the tracker will use the time of any device. Just make sure you have the option Automatic Time Zone "on" in both Fitbit App and phone.
In order to sync with any device you need internet connection, otherwise Fitbit can't communicate with the server. Here is the list of requirements that a device need to sync. Any luck with your Fitbit?
I'll be around!

Good, thanks for the clear answers. So basically, if you are on a transatlantic cruise it is impossible to keep your watch time in sync with the ship's time unless you pay a fortune for internet access. And if you are flying anywhere you cannot set the watch to the new timezone until you land and find a WiFi hotspot.
A major drawback I would suggest. Considering the watch and the phone are communicating by Bluetooth I really don't understand why you have designed the software in that way.

You're welcome @alanrichey! Thanks for the feedback! All Fitbit trackers connect in the same way, a daily sync is recommended but not required. Most Fitbit trackers record detailed minute-by-minute data for seven days. And they can store daily totals for up to 30 days. The Time on the tracker will change if you don't sync it in a really long time. How many days take your Fitbit to change the date if you don't connect it?
Please note that all details on how tracker connect are found on the website, tracker manual and on the Fitbit box.
Please let me know if I you need more help!

I don't know how long it would take as I gave up wearing it and went back to an ordinary watch.
It's all well & good recommending a sync every day, but if you don't have internet access you just can't do it. But if you say the time will change eventually, why not do it after a few minutes ?

This just happened to me after going to a different state for vacation and then coming back home. My Fitbit Versa 2 watch was 1 hour behind my original state time. Now it's fixed. Thanks for the instructions.
