Is the Charge 2 better than my Surge

I know there are a hundred posts about the surge not syncing. Every links the troubleshooting. This is not my first rodeo with Fitbit. I am a student, I am a techy-nerd, I can look up trouble shooting. I have restarted my surge, I have restarted my phone, I have restarted my bluetooth, I have re-synced my surge to my s7 edge. I have already contacted customer service only for them to tell me "Sorry, its a Google agreement issue."

I love Fitbit, I love Samsung. Does anyone know if the Charge HR 2 will sync with a Samsung or should I just find another watch? I wear my watch every day. I train for a mini marathon, I walk a crazy hyper dog, I am a nursing student/soon to be a RN that needs to tell time at every hour of the day. I chose this watch for the versitility, but in the 8 months I have had it, its worked for 4....

Great discussion starter @wozniak12013 !

My Surge is 18 months old. No issues. I only charge when it (the tracker, not email alerts) ask for it and only for two hours, no power issues.  I use the damp towel after every shower to wipe it down thoroughly, this is all the cleaning required to prevent skin irritation.

I also own a Blaze, no issues, and now a Charge 2 as well. It tied into the account in less than 6 minutes total (including a requested update) without issue. I use my Surge when I don't want to carry an iPhone and the Blaze when I can have both the tracker and mobile with me.

I too have an affinity for Samsung, I have their Refrigerator, TV and Blue Ray; but I have an Apple TV for streaming and an iPhone for mobile. Android is google - I use dogpile for a search engine because I want choices, not directed choices. I want control not to be controlled.

With App developers still scrambling to get code hints to create OS inspired fixes for marshmallow, Google is introducing sticky nougat, the non-google apps will remain behind the curve until they share.

I'm certainly not running out to buy their Androidwear because they are slow to share.

Sorry for the delays, fitbit has one of the best developement teams in the business, hang in there if you are "sticky"ing to Samsung 🙂  Thank you for your loyalty, great to see you here!

I've looked at the blaze but I'm weary of dropping that much money on another product that doesn't work again. I had the flex for 2 years and upgraded to train for a mini marathon and hike plus the GPS and time display. I don't have a battery issue, it withstands my abuse of 14 hr days and work outs, it's juse annoying it cannot sync all day, I can't use notifications, and many days I spend an hour or more restarting my watch and phone just to get my data. I don't want to ditch fitbit, but I want a product that works
