Hi Fitbit users. On Saturday 7th Jan 2017 I was seated on a bus for 4 hours, but my Surge had recorded the movements of the bus as steps (3427) and floors (74)...I was rewarded badges too!!
This confusion has now skewed my weekly, monthly totals. Is there anyway I can edit/delete innacuarate recordings?
Cheers, Andrew

I have solved it. I don't think you can actually delete steps and floors, but by logging an activity as 'DRIVING' with a start date and duration of journey, the steps, floors and calories are adjusted for the day.
From the dashboard, select log, then activities. Select the date you need to amend, then log an activity for driving. Works fine.

@Lloyd27 Thanks for joining us! Thanks you for not only posting your question but what you did to resolve it and you are right that logging a Driving activity is the correct procedure to remove steps from your account.

To be honest, I've tried this, but it hasn't worked for me. Is there another way for fix this problem or no? I only want credit for the floors that I climb and no more.

Halo @Blazeuser88 thanks for stopping by! Thank you for your participation in this thread everyone!
If you're using your Fitbit Surge to perform Hiking activities, it's very unlikely you won't get steps; since the pedometer keeps working all the time when the Surge is on. I think that it'd be a really good option to have. Other users have asked the same feature here Feature Suggestions board: Turn steps on and off.
You can place your vote there. The more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. Implementing enhancements to Fitbit trackers and services take time as our devs and engineers have to be double sure that this will properly work. Lots of trial an error on their end to make sure they deliver the best improvements for our Fitbitters!
I'll be around in case you need anything else!
