My question is
When I use the lap run option on my Fitbit surge
The watch doesn't stop between two laps.
For eg: when I start my first lap I press the start button(below button) and as my lap is over I press the lap button which the upper one it shows my lap time but then the watch automatically starts again which is actually my rest period.snd I press the pause button then it shows Lap :1 Coz I pause and I start so it doesn't go to lap 2
I hope u people understand my question
How to stop the watch between two laps?

A warm welcome to our new friend @Rickeey! I see... So you are saying that you take a break during laps and your Surge is doesn't count the "pause" time but it ends the workout? That's pretty weird, because when you press the pause button it should return to the current lap. If you haven't already I recommend restarting your Surge:

 

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

After that please keep an eye to your Surge and post me with the results! Cat Very Happy

I think I have not been able to put my question clearly.
Now for eg: I start lap option to start I have to press the start button,so when I run a 100 m lap and I stop..if I press the pause button the time stops but it will b same lap when I start again.
If I press action button when I end my lap then it shows a small summary and automatically starts another lap. So I want the watch to stop after my lap 1 and when I start then lap 2 should start
I hope now I make sense

I don't believe the Surge supports the functionality you're looking for. The lap button is exactly that, log a time point on lap completion but carry on timing. That's the way most stopwatches I've seen work so I guess I've never thought about an alternative use.
