Left over parts when taking Surge apart

Hi, 

I took my surge apart to do cleaning and was left with a small, slim 2cm metal part. It came out when l was removing the back metal casing on the right side where the 2 buttons were. Now l can't fix it back. The 2 buttons felt very detached and l can't really press the 2 buttons anymore. Anyone knows where that metal piece go?

My guess is that they go behind the buttons. 

Ifixit has a video of the dismantling of a Surge.
