Thanks for this advice.

Strange problem, however - the iPad syncs, but only on the last sync late on 11 August.

No activity showing on the Dashboard since then, but just can not find it, unfortunately.

Further search suggestions most welcome, please.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. If the iPad syncs ok then is must be within 20 feet of so. It might be close enough that a vibrating alarm but be audible?
