Did a 5k run last night, the pace, heart rate etc data is all there for the whole run but only the last 1k is showing on the map.

As you move along the pace detail, the Start distance changes for the 1st 4k and then the dot starts to move along the red line for the last bit.

sync fault?

In addition, could you share a screenshot with me?, to better understand the issue.

Thanks for the screenshot @paddlerpiggy, I understand now! Smiley LOL The reason why you can't see the last kilometers is because at least two dozen GPS satellites are constantly in orbit around the Earth and broadcasting data. All GPS devices, whether your phone or a Fitbit Surge, require a direct path to these satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions. If the signal is being blocked because you're underground, near many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects, your GPS will not track your map. However, if you're running with your Surge and the GPS signal is lost, your Surge will continually try to search for a GPS signal as long as the exercise is in progress.

In addition, let me share with you this article "How do I use GPS?", where you'll find a lot of tips to hit your goals with your Fitbit Surge.
