Hi @Suzskip
From the fitbit article
Place your tracker into a bowl of dry rice for 24 hours. This will extract any moisture that remains inside the device.
After your tracker has been in rice for 24 hours, attempt to restart your tracker.
Restart the tracker
URL: Click / Tap to open the Fitbit Help Article 'How do I restart the tracker?'
Hope it helps

Okay I will try this tonight fingers crossed thanks
I have found just being in a bowl of rice isn't enough, it needs to be in a sealed food container of rice.

My surge spent a full week in a sealed food container of rice; the only times it came out was for charging, running, and other activities (needless to say my step count was way down for that week). After the week the screen cleared for the mostg part and the swipe function has started working intermittently, I am still "ricing" my tracker for four or five hours after every run and while it seems to be getting a bit better, I don't yet know if it'll ever be back to full functionality. That said, I remain optimistic.
