Had my surge a couple of weeks. Happy at moment. Any long term users happy? The posts all seem bad!

Welcome to the forums @simon11
I have a friend who has been loving his Surge for well over a year. His wife had a Charge, but switched to a Flex 2. They are in challenges together as she's trying to get him into a more active lifestyle.
He has had no problems at all. All I've ever heard from him is how happy he is to be keeping track of his activity and occasionally stepping more than his wife.
One thing about any forums @simon11 is that more often you'll read posts from the unhappy and fewer from those who are content. What matters is how you feel about your Surge. Fitbit stands behind their products, so have no fear.
Whatever you do, keep on stepping!

Hi @Rich_Laue
My friend who has the Surge is a big man and on him, the Surge looks just about right!

I've had mine for 9 months now. I still like everything about mine except one thing, it never gets the number of flights of stairs correct and there's no way to add and/or edit the information . This particular feature is Very important to me, but I just try to ignore it.
Even though I bought a small, I find it quite bulky for me and it was leaving a terrible tan line. LOL
I have a small wrist, but I did find that it fits around my ankle, and is more accurate in counting my steps.
Your Fitbit will count arm movements as stepping, so if you wear it all day long like I do it tends to be very inaccurate even on my secondary arm.
I have had ZERO problems with my Fitbit Surge, although because of the large size, I may switch to a smaller model at some point in time, Charge 2 perhaps.

I've had mine for about 2 years now. It does what it is supposed to do I guess. I couldn't tell you about how accurate it has been, things like that.
The only thing I've noticed is the wear and tear on the inside of the watch. After a while mine started getting a few tears (near where the 'screws' are on the inside of the band). Also, I noticed that the battery capacity has become less in time. I'm charging it every other day where I did not have to before.
It still works fine, but I figure that in time, it'll definetely tear and I will be unable to use it anymore.
I currently lost my charging cable and am pondering getting a new one but I find them pretty steep (20 euro for a charging cable on here? No way). So I'm considering getting them elsewhere.
It also makes me wonder if I should not just consider getting a different trackign device, either from fitbit or from another company. As I am pretty sure there are more accurate trackers out there, not sticking with fitbit would definetely be a possibility for me.
