My Surge band has torn. Fitbit's solution for me is to throw it away and buy a new one. WTF?

I realize that this topic has been covered but everyone who experiences this madness needs to post so that Fitbit might finally someday get the message.  My watch works well, is in great shape, and is only 18 months old.  Despite this, and because a cheap piece of rubber failed, the watch is now useless and Fitbit refuses to offer a solution beyond "Sorry, sucker, buy a new one".  Inexcusable.  Bye bye Fibit!

@NoHoJoe If you want to salvage the Surge until it really dies ( which we all know could be at any time anyway), Amazon has replacement bands and YouTube shows how. Hey. I'm moving to Garmin Vivoactive HR (plus chest strap sensor for weight training) when my finally goes.
