Is it not counting any steps at all or just missing some?
Is the count you are looking at on the app or on the Surge?
As a first step it's worth trying a restart of your Surge using the following procedure. It does no harm and can sort out all sorts of problems:

Hey there, @Alaska12! Welcome to the Family! Thanks for replying with those details to our friend @SteveH, that was of great help! I think that in this case it's best to contact Customer Support, so they can help you with this, since usually the restart does the trick. ![]()
