My FitBit strap broke off from my device completely. I hvae contacted support who appears to be automated email response stating that I am out of warranty.
My question is simple, surely FitBit has it in their business model that when a strap breaks but the R4 000 device still works they have a solution that allows the customer to replace with a new strap. Can it really be that you need a completely new device if you have missed your warranty period by 2 months just for a strap?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

@Jason18365 Hi Jason. Go to AliExpress.com and buy a replacement strap, including the Torx screwdriver needed for the replacement for around $20 USD. Plenty of videos on YouTube showing how easy it is to change. Shame on FitBit for not offering similar.

Thank you Griswold, I appreciate the assistance. That sounds like a sustainable solution. I'll research them as it sounds like they are American based. Just need to make sure they deliver to South Africa.

Hi,
Aliexpress is not US based, rather Chinese, which means quite long delivery times, unless you're willing to pay for fast shipping, usually quite prohibitive.
