New Sruge - Trouble with Setup

I just got a new Surge that was on sale. I have plugged it into the computer and can not get anything but the Let's Get Started screen. It does not show that it is charging and it will not get off of that screen even if I hold the Home button and bottom button to turn it off. I do get the logo then it goes back to this screen. Do I have to charge it for two hours before I can do anything?

That's the only thing it will display until you have completed the setup process.

 

After you've had it on charge for an hour or so go through the setup and you can complete the charging later (at which point it will show the charging indicator).
