New Surge not recording sleep.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So have my Surge since Friday, and noticed yesterday (Monday) evening that only half my sleep from Sunday night had been recorded. Woke in the middle of the night for about 15/20 minutes, sleep recorded up until that point, but nothing after that. Was working a night shift Friday night and the few hours sleep I had Saturday afternoon was recorded, plus the full sleep that I had Saturday night.

I reset my device Monday evening to see if that would work (as suggested on a couple of threads here), after resetting, the app on my phone was not responding, and it took an uninstall and a reinstall to for it to respond and sync again, but still without the missing from Sunday night.

This morning (Tuesday) it took several attempts to sync, and would only do after logging out of the app, switching off the Bluetooth on both phone and device and repairing them, but it still has not adding the missing sleep from Sunday night and now no sleep recorded for last night (Monday). Steps, stairs, HR, and weight from my scales all recorded.

At a slight loss here, and wondering what to do next.

Awesome to see you here @stewie_ie! Good to know that you already restarted your Fitbit, it should help to track sleep in a better way. About your missing information from Sunday, why don't you manually enter the time missing. You can edit your sleep by pressing the Sleep tile on your Fitbit App > Choose the date > Tap on the little pencil to edit time. Robot wink

You can also do it from a computer by going to Fitbit.com and log in into your Dashboard > Log > Sleep > Choose the time > Click on the pencil (located next to "awake/restless" info).

Hope this helps! Smiley Happy

Hi Yojana. Thanks for getting back to me. I was considering adding the data manually, but thought the restart last night would have added Sunday nights missing sleep, and expected to wake up this morning to last nights sleep there as well, how ever this has not been the case. Is there anything else I can do other than the restart, re-installing the app, and repairing the phone and device, prior to my next sleep, and waking to see all recorded, other than entering information manually, which kinda defeats the object of one of its features.

Thanks for replying @stewie_ie! If you're still having issues with your sleep after trying those steps, it's best to contact Customer Support so they can further investigate. Sorry about your missing information, but your tracker should be able to track the data and keep it in the memory, so you can give it try! Smiley Wink

Hi Yojana. Thanks for getting back again. I think that is the next step.

I have since, uninstalled the app, restarted my device, reinstalled app, and repaired (took several attempts).

Half of Sunday nights sleep and all of Monday nights sleep still missing. However, a nap that I had mid morning today has been added.

Thanks for all your help, and will let know how I get on.
