Remove the Bluetooth connection on your old phone if it still exists but don't remove the Surge from your account.

Have you checked that the new phone works with fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?
Is the Surge still listed in your old phone's bluetooth settings? If so this may be blocking the connection from your new phone.

I upgraded to an iPhone 7. I kept my old phone, so I should delete the surge from the old phone? The new phone won't find it, instead it gives directions like the surge is new and never been turned on.
