No Map of my run with GPS on Surge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Went out for a run today, been using my Fitbit Surge since Christmas with no issues but today I went out for a run and setting my Fitbit to Free Run as usual finding a satellite then setting off.

When I got back and synced with my phone at home it doesnt show the map of my route. Just distance, pace, HR and for the first time % at which my HR was in the cardio zone. Which is nice but I want the map back!!!

Why has the map gone and how do I get it back???

@Cavey66 welcome to the forums! Gee, this sounds particularly odd. When tracking an activity with your Surge's GPS please make sure that you wait for the GPS fix before you start your workout. Also, take into account that if you use Quick Start, Surge takes longer to find the GPS signal than if you're standing still.

Double check your app for that day and verify if the map is there. If not, then try force quitting your app and make sure that you have the latest app version. Finally, try logging out and then logging back in; the map should be there.

To avoid this from happening in the future, try restarting your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Hope this helps and keep me posted with the outcome! Cat Very Happy
