Hi there. I have done a number of long walks (over 4 hours) and tracked these with my fitbit surge. When I get home and sync my fitbit I get all the information but no map, the map tries to load but after sometime nothing but a spinning icon. It only seems to do this with long walks and works fine on short ones.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @John1983. It's great to have you here. This behavior sounds weird. I would recommend making sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app for your Android device. If this has been covered, please set up your Surge as a replacement device by following @SteveH's steps. This should get you back on track.

Hope to see you around more often. Smiley Very Happy

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Latest firmware version is 16.34.5.14.

Is there a solution already?

Hi there. The only solution I have is to log a long walk on your phone
instead of the fitbit itself. Hope this helps

If you open the fitbit app on your phone and scroll down to "track your
exercise" open this and look for the stopwatch symbol in the top right.
Press on this and it will open a new page. The app will now show you a map
with your location and also a pink play button down in the right bottom
coner, press this and go for your walk. You can minimise the app while out
on your walk and still use your phone as normal. Once your walk is over
open up the app again and press the pause button and then finish.

Hope this helps you.
