Not enough active minutes after sports

Hi everyone,

just wondered: how can I have 75 active minutes after 2 hrs biking (30 km) that burned nearly 1000 kcal? Puls was constantly between 100 and 140.

Cheers,

Lazy Biker

Hi, @SunsetRunner, periods when your pulse was around 100 or so would be unlikely to be high enough to earn you active minutes.  The Fitbit needs to detect a calorie burn at least 3 times your BMR in order for active minutes to be awarded.

Hey there @SunsetRunner! Hope you're enjoying the Forums! Smiley Happy

In regards of your inquiry as @Julia_G mentioned, your Surge take in count your HR data and your BMP information. Also I'd like to add that your gain Active Minutes depending on the intensity of the activity too. You can read more about how Active Minutes are tracked by Fitbit trackers.

In order to have more details in regards your Active Minutes, take a look of the calories chart on your Fitbit.com Dashboard on the computer or in your phone using the browser. Click on Log > Activities > Choose the date and the Calories burned view. You will see the green lines representing your activities done in high intensity level and the yellow ones in moderate intensity level. Smiley Wink

If you have the time take a look of this information in regards how you gain calories while cycling.

Hope this helps! Smiley Very Happy
