How do I power off so it starts tracking again? I didn't realize it wasn't recording.

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge™ for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Your Surge should now work normally. Note that any call or text notifications you received before the restart will be deleted. If your tracker still doesn't work after a restart, contact Customer Support.

--- Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do.
Flex (Christmas 2014), ChargeHR (Christmas 2015). Wife is using the Flex now! Nope, that Flex has died. Alta ordered 12/15/16 as Flex replacement. So far, she likes it. Nope, alta battery only lasts 2 days, started at 7. Support contacted 12/7/17. Hope warranty covers it.

Press the left button.
Swipe sideways to the settings page.
Press bottom right button.
Swipe Up/Down to find Sutdown.
Press bottom right button twice.

Any button should restart it after that.
