I've had my Fitbit replaced 3 times already.
It seems every 6 months the band begins to bubble and separate from the actual device.
I love the function of the surge and have put up with the clunky design because of it.
I want a device that allows me to have gps for running and biking, as well as tracks HR, steps, and sleep.
This is is the perfect device--except for the band. What is Fitbit doing to correct this obvious problem?

Hi
The Surge is the only fitbit tracker to date with build in gps, though the fitbit Blaze & Charge 2 have connected GPS, to use the GPS from the phone. Both those trackers have exchangeable bands, monitor heart rate, able to track exercises, steps taken & sleep..

I'm aware of that, but my question is: is there any correction other than constant replacement or do I switch to an entirely different brand?

Just received my third replacement. My second started peeling after 3 weeks. If you are under extended warranty, I'd say keep replacing it, but if the warranty has expired and you want built in GPS, Garmin, or Samsung seems the best option. Apple watches might also be good if you have an Iphone.

Do a search on Surge band problems in this forum. You can easily answer your own question after that just based on the number of hits you get.
