I want to use my surge Fitbit like strava fir cycling to map my rides. I Used the gps on surge to cycle 10.6 miles, the Fitbit showed the whole route correctly but only logged as 3.1miles
Also when I tried to amend the Sport on the app to outdoor bike ride it said it wasn't allowed. I can't see why this can't be available.
If I map my bike ride on strava the Fitbit adds this and also adds the steps counted on the fitbit. This I assume must make the steps Counted toward success my challenges higher than they should be,
if you try and delete or amend anything it only updates the total Andrew doesn't correct the challenge.
Please let me know how to fix this his problem.

Hi @Drakem! Please receive a warm welcome to the Fitbit Family! It's great to see you participating in our Community!
It's great to know that you're investing time on your health doing cycling. It's very odd that your bike activity is showing less miles on the map. Do you have the screenshot of that information? I'd like to take a look of that! In the meantime, please take a look of this information about what can affect GPS tracking. Restarting your Surge a couple of times is a good idea in case it is hardware issue though!
About the steps that are being transfer by Strava, how many steps are being transfer? Since there is no way to delete those steps from your Fitbit record or Challenges once they have been transferred, I suggest using your Fitbit Surge to keep tracking your bike activities.
I hope you can fix the issue with your miles, I'll be around.
Good day!
