Please please do better with hrm - even 70 or 80% accurate would be plenty.

I really don't care if the HRM is not 100% perfectly accurate (even 70 or 80% percent would be great), but it disappoints me that it is just sooo poor. Please FitBit can you focus some of your efforts on improving this feature enough that it actually works in the real world at least with a modicum of reliability. I'm really tired of getting HR spikes of 170 when i'm walking, or sticking at 80bpm when i'm gasping from bashing out a load of burpees. You've put out a lovely bunch of HR based products - all of which are a bit pointless without the HR feature working.

Thanks for feeding back @HelenaFitbit. I'm sure the team is working really hard. I'm just hoping that a decent part of that effort is going in the hrm algo or hardware. I think most of the wrist based hrms are a bit poor - perhaps a point of difference for FitBit might be the truely excellent hrm tech that they're planning to release soon... hopefully... please? 🙂 (or perhaps a Bluetooth connection to a chest strap for those times you need more responsiveness from the hrm - I have a Wahoo can you start with that one? ;-))

Actually ally that's a point. I suspect many of us complaining about the hrm accuracy already have chest straps which were happy to put on for the workout - and only when we need the extra responsiveness and accuracy. So a feature where normal use is on the wrist but it can be overridden for a gym workout by putting on a strap.

At least until the wrist based hrm tech gets better perhaps. I'm hoping this could be added with a software update only.
