Problem with the step counter

My surge doesn't always count steps. I was advised to hold the reset buttons on the side of the watch until the insignia appears, but sometimes this still doesn't solve the problem.

Welcome to the forums @Love2exercize, if you've already tried to restart your tracker as you mentioned, I would also recommend that you setup your tracker as a new device, this has been helpful to other users who were experiencing similar difficulties, during the process you can select "Setup as a new device" and then "Existing user", this way you will pair your tracker to your current account without loosing any data.
