I have the same issue with my Surge 2 which doesn't record my sleep pattern accurately. I have tried both sensitive and normal, neither makes a difference. I also followed the reset process a few times, and reconnected it to my PC and Phone, that didn't work.
By comparison when I tried my partners Surge 2, my sleep pattern is very different!
I've had no response from Fitbit help - not impressive.
Its obviously something Fitbit cant do properly!

If your partners Fitbit records your sleep perfectly, it sounds like it is something Fitbit can do.
Since you say you have a Surge, I suggest to go into the settings menu on the Surge and shutdown the tracker. Press any button to turn it on. This should reset both the hardware and software.
I'm not sure why your posting in the Charge 2 forum, but I'm moving it to the Surge area.
