Just found this thread and have a similar issue...

 

So yesterday I recorded a walk using a Garmin and then synced it to Strava but I then noticed my steps took a haircut in the Fitbit App. (But not on the watch) So is Strava overwriting the Fitbit app data? My Garmin doesn’t even record steps as it’s for cycling really. Is seems that the steps per minute have a finite limit when I look at the graph of the day’s steps.
