Recording a bike ride on Fitbit

The last few days I've went on some short rides to the coffee shop and used my Fitbit to record rather than my Garmin. What I've noticed is that despite pressing stop on the Fitbit when I've reached the cofee shop and pressing start again, when the ride is complete and synced to Strava, the Strava file includes the down time in the coffee shop thus massively skewing the average speed. Is there a way to fix this, or indeed a way to auto pause the fitbit when a ride comes to a stop, say at a set of traffic lights?

Hello @velorick, I've seen you are new around, so welcome aboard to our community. In this case since the GPS still is connected despite the activity is pause, the information will be transfer to Strava. There is no way to fix this since when you pause the activity, for that time it wont count any data, although this doesn't mean it will stop reading your movements and it will cause Strava take this time reducing your speed by consequence.

Unfortunately there is no way to fix this or auto pause your activity, nonetheless I invite you to visit our Feature request board to leave your feedback. There is an idea from another user which is similar and perhaps is of your interest. You can add your vote and share your comments here

Thank you for sharing this and hope to see you around.
