Red Light on front of Surge

My surge has had a red light on since last week. All the firmware is updated, I've tried to hard reset. Fitbit has been no help, taking my call, giving me a case number, and telling me they'll get back to me within two days--they don't. They don't seem to have any technical support AT ALL. My battery seems to be draining faster, anyone have any idea what's causing it?

I am quoting the thread below:

If anyone else experiences unusual behavior with their Surge's LED, or sees it shining persistently, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you've fully updated your tracker to the latest available firmware, as described here.

2. Restart your Surge

  • Insert the other end into the port on the back of your Fitbit Charge or Fitbit Charge HR. Your tracker will begin charging.
  • Plug your charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  • Press and hold the button for 10 to 12 seconds until you see the Fitbit icon and a version number (e.g. "V30").
  • Let go of the button.
  • Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

3. Manually sync your device via Fitbit Connect or the Fitbit Mobile App.

4. If the issue is not resolved, please contact our Support Team with a photo of the LED, so that we can further assist you.
