I've had my surge since Jan this year. My RHR generally moves between 53 and 60 bpm, however for the past 8 days it has been constant at 58, despite various sleep, training and lifestyle upheavals. Any thoughts (everything else seems fine)?

There are so many factors which affect the RHR, and a key one for this time of year is heat.  Many folks, myself included, find their RHR rises a bit when we're forced to exercise in and/or sleep in a warmer/hotter than normal environment.  In my case my RHR has risen from a flat-line 41 BPM to 43 BPM since the weather got hot earlier this week.

I get the rise due to heat, but my RHR has fluctuated as described ever since I've had it. This is the first time I've ever had it flatline, let alone for 8 days. I was more curious whether there had been a firmware update or similar that may have caused this (given my RHR history, I also think it's pretty unlikely to have stabilised so firmly in a week where I was expecting it to vary quite a lot anyway). Will keep an eye on it, but may need to do a hard reset on the watch.
