Before Christmas though I was fairly active my resting heart rate was between 54 / 57 Then it started to rise when I stopped working out.

I ware my Surge 24/7 and know Ive not be as active as before.

I am just getting over flu which I first got on13th January. I know I am sleeping /rest more then I have ever done but can being ill really make this much difference?

Regardless of any replies what I will do once I fully recover is upload another graphy image hopefully back to normal.

if you ckeck your daily heart rate data, you will see they increased a lot during your flu.

Hi Thanks

I am still not sure.. Fitbit states your tracker estimates your resting heart rate by measuring your heart rate while you’re asleep and while you’re awake but still during the day.

My wife's resting was 73 as well over the same period and she is usally 54 really fit and active..

Dont you think this all a little odd, three people all differnet all 73 and now dropping?

I have started to become more active after getting over flu, but think beleive resting heart rate is calculated using the amount of steps and active minutes as well.

Over the period same period thats the only thing that reduced.

Thanks

I think on the 15 they changed something in the way they calculate the resting rate.

My normal resting heart rate is around 52 bpm -- and that was what the Surge reported till  Jan 15. Afterwards it went suddently up to 58 - 60, although if I check it when sitting it still tells me itls around 52.
