Rucking with the Surge

Hello all,

I got my Fitbit Surge when I turned 65 a few months ago and it now controls me! My main form of exercise is putting on a 30lb weighted backpack and walking for about 30 minutes in the early morning. Most every fitness forum says that when you walk with a weighted backpack, you burn almost 3X the calories (http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/). Is there anyway to compensate for this on the Surge? I have lost almost 15 lbs and feel great. I just like seeing all my targets in the green.

I'm also a backpacker. I don't find that you actually burn that much extra but you do burn some. In a week of backpacking I notice it but just a couple hours probably not worth adjusting. Just enjoy the extra weight loss. 🙂
