Setting up music on surge

Trying to set up music on surge. I've followed directions on the app, it's showing that it's paired but when I double press the left button it says not connected. Am I doing something wrong?

That's what I see when Bluetooth Classic is switched off on the surge. Otherwise I see Connecting.

 

Are you sure that the Classic BT has paired correctly?
