Sleep sensitivity and new baby

I have a new baby, so I'm awake a lot during the night feeding the baby. I'm not really moving a whole lot during these awake times, but I'm definitely not sleeping. Should I choose th normal or sensitive sleep sending setting to correctly register my sleep?

Congratulations for your baby @MamarunnerCat Embarassed Is nice to see you around and actually, yes you can change the sleep tracking to "Normal" and also you can log manually your sleep by following the instructions in this article: How do I manage my sleep logs with the Fitbit app?

Let me know if you have any additional question, I'll be around for you! Smiley Wink

My problem is that it says I'm sleeping (but restless) when I'm really awake. Do I have to be walking around in order for it to register that I'm awake? When I'm awake I'm usually just sitting, so it must think I'm asleep? I have it on sensitive now.

Thank you for clarifying the issue @MamarunnerSmiley Embarassed In that way, yes, you need to change the "Sleep Tracking" to "Normal", because, "Sensitive" was design for people with irregular sleep, so they can make more moves and the tracker is not going to count those moves like awake time. I found this article for you about Sleep tracking FAQs, where you can find a lot of information to improve your Zzzz. Smiley Very Happy

Thank you. Now my
Problem is that there are breaks in my sleep monitoring. For example, the night is broken up into three blocks, with time I between. It goes 12:26 am-3:16am, then 3:48-6:09, then 7:13-8:13. What happened to the times in between?

I found that when I had my sleep setting on normal and was getting up every couple of hours to settle our newborn, the FitBit wouldnt recognise the movement and log it as sleep.  I changed it to sensitive setting and it seems to reflect my nights more accurately - perhaps a little oversensitive at times, but it gives greater insight.  That's my personal preference anyway!

Thank you for sharing this information @PJB84M, is nice to have you here! Smiley Happy

@Mamarunner, the reason why you are seeing your sleep pattern in that way, is because, your tracker is recognizing every time you are awake. But, don't worry, if you want to have the sleep pattern complete, you should manually log your sleep, by doing the following on this article: How do I manage my sleep logs with the Fitbit app?

Keep me posted!
