Hello! I just purchased my Surge and am in the process of getting it all set up...I see the usb charging cord, of which I am using right now to charge it. I also see a small piece of equipment...I have NO idea what this is! I seem to remember reading it's a dangle, or something to that effect...What do I use it for? I'm a bit lost! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forums @Gingerstuntman
It is a dongle. The dongle is used to sync data from your Surge via the computer to the Fitbit servers. If you're syncing via a mobile device, you might not need it.

Ok, I think I get that! In a dumbed-down version, does it work sorta like a flash drive?

@Gingerstuntmanthink of the dongle as the bridge between your Surge and the Fitbit server.
If you ever have problems with a mobile device syncing, the dongle, when used in your computer, will help. Bluetooth enabled computers don't need the dongle, but it's nice to have it.

if these computers have Bluetooth 4.0...
that's not the case for around 4-5 years old computers.
