So disappointed with the Surge and it's inadequate display

I have just updated from the charge heart rate to the Surge classic and I am so disappointed with the display. It is nothing like the ones that I have had before or my partner has had. I've had it a couple of weeks and thought I would try and live with it, but I am gutted to be honest. I have just got round to syncing it and thought maybe I could change the display there, but no. The advertisements are really misleading the display on the ads looks bright and inviting. Really disappointed!!

The Surge is no longer available. It has been replaced by the Ionic. Where did you buy it?

 

I never found the display to be bad. The brightness depends on the lighting situation at the time. Of course any manufacturer will show their product under the best of conditions.

I actually got it from Argos, about 2 weeks ago it is still available to buy there. I just thought I would put up with it, then I found my old charge heart rate out and the display is so much better and so much clearer. I would have taken it back but I misplaced my receipt etc and the couldnt return it. Yes I agree that they show the best qualities bit generally they are at least representative. I don't feel this is to be honest. I may well have to sell it and try and recoup some of my money to be able to buy a better one. Or the ionic like you suggested. Just a major mistake by myself xx
