Hi Hoping someone can help, I've been for a run (jog if im being honest) and am i bit confused by the numbers.
Its says 1.58mi in 16:48min with 10'39" Pace
Mile split 1 = 11'04 Mile split 0.57 is 9'56"
I thought the mile splits would be the time its taken me to do each bit, but that would total my running time to over 20min so why doesn't this time tally back to the 16:48min and where does the Pace come in as i thought this would be my average mile time, but that doesnt seem to work out..... confused.

Hey there, @ClareMez! Welcome to the Family! Actually, you're right, those numbers should match. If you add those minutes, the total amount should be the duration of your workout! I would try to restart the Surge and track the same activity again. This time take a look of the GPS signal, somethings it takes a while to find the signal and that might be the extra time you have in your stats.
Just to have a little of background acout GPS feature; at least two dozen GPS satellites are constantly in orbit around the Earth and broadcasting data. All GPS devices, whether your phone or a Fitbit Surge, require a direct path to these satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions. If the signal is being blocked either because you're underground, near many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects GPS will not work. Thus, whereas GPS gives you a more accurate measure of distance than step counting alone, the actual accuracy depends on both your environment and the weather.
If the GPS signal is lost, rest assured that your Fitbit tracker continually will search for a GPS signal as long as the exercise is in progress. You might have to take in count that the environment you are in can affect the signal strength of GPS. For example, if you are running in an urban environment with many tall buildings (as you already know), it may take your Surge tracker several seconds to get a fix.
Hope this help!
