Step counter on surge is not accurate

Hi,

 

Since this week (maby a week earlier even) whenever I go outside for a walk I feel like the step counter on my fitbit surge is a bit low compared to before. I own a fitbit surge since almost a year and always felt like it was accurate with the steps. So today I took it to the test and started counting my steps. For every 100 steps I did the surge only showed around 65 give or take. This confirmed my feeling that the surge step counter is a bit low I had the last couple of weeks.

 

My question is: has there been any update that caused this? And can I reverse this update? to make it accurate again?

@MushMush Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend to perform a restart on your Fitbit Surge. This kind of issues are usually resolved by doing that.

 

Try that out, use your Surge, and let me know if it is accurate again! Smiley Happy
