My Surge stops to charge when battery is not fully.
In attached photo, it was connected but stopped to charge before the battery icon completes.
Is it a problem?
The cable is working well, because if a remove it and reconnect the charging symbol appears normally and hide some seconds after.
Thanks

Hi @avelinocneto! So glad to see you here!
I was checking mine and I noticed that same thing, at first I thought it was just the battery design that looks in that way, I had never noticed! Mine as you can see looked fully charged after one hour, although it took a while to connect.
After 3 hours connected my Surge showed the full battery! Odd! So, I think we'll have to remember leave the Surge connected for that period of time to make sure battery is full. I have mine since 2015, so it might why it shows that discrepancy. Thank you for your post since otherwise I would not have noticed that. Great feedback!
How's yours working?
Hope this helps!

But is normal the battery duration along just two days (using only 1 hour in Running activity)?
My Surge battery lasted up to 7 days with me, with two hours of running (with hr and gps active) per week.

Hi @avelinocneto, thanks for getting back! Your Fitbit Surge battery should last up to 7 days. A fully charged Surge can track up to 10 hours of activities that use GPS. Because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary.
Have you tried cleaning the contacts of your tracker regularly as they might be obstructed by microscopic dirt or debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this may damage the plating and result in corrosion.
You can also try to restart your Surge if you haven't do so. And check these tips to improve the battery life of your Surge. How are you changing your Surge? We recommend plugging your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your tracker.
Hope this helps!

I'm using a SAMSUNG smarthphone charger without turbo charge technology.
I think it's a 2A 5V out.
Can continue using this ?
After restart the Surge, the battery means to be better. Two days and 50% still remaining.
But I think will not during 7 days...

Hi @avelinocneto! Thanks for confirming this information! Restarts normally helps your Fitbit to reset any internal issue.
In regards to your input, you can keep using it if this is a (UL-certified or CE-certified charger), which means that it regulates the voltage of energy that it's using. This information is usually stated in one of the sides of the charger.
Also remember to clean the contacts of your tracker and charger sporadically, since these contacts can become obstructed by microscopic dirt or debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this may damage the plating and result in corrosion.
Let me know if you need more help!

As I said, the battery was during 4 days...
Today, I put to charge in a low-energy charger and for my surprise, the battery indicator now is full (see picture).
So, at the day after battery discharge I will put a message here to count days...

My experience after owning 2 Surges:
* The battery never lasts 7 days, even when used only as a wrist watch for 8-12 hours per day
* Charging on a high ampere/fast charger (2+ A) makes the batter last for 1-3 days.
* Charging on a low ampere charger (1-1,5 A) over night makes it last for 3-5 days

Hi @avelinocneto, thanks for taking the time to try this and share your findings with us. I'll be looking forward your feedback to see how this worked for you.
@SunsetRunner Sorry to hear the issues you had with your replacement. If you aren’t tracking runs or exercises that use GPS, the battery should be lasting more than that. A fully charged Surge can track up to 10 hours of activities that use GPS, but I don't think you're using it for long period of times, right? Due to battery life is affected by use and other settings, we usually suggest these tips. Now, about your findings, thanks a million it might be helpful for a lot of users.
Have a good one guys!

Hi @YojanaFitbit, today my battery discharged totally.
So, when I`ve charged on Tuesday, it lasted only 4 days with just 1 hour and 12 minutes of running exercise.

Yes, before my last post (about the battery duration), I've checked the charger (now I`m using computer USB to charger because it's a low-energy power) and I've clean the metal contacts.
Anyone suggestion that I may have skipped?

Thanks for confirming that information! Did you try to turn off the HR when you're not exercising or at night? You can give it a try, although I'm not sure if this would be a good option for you.
If restarting your Fitbit is not helping, you might have to get in touch with our Support Team, please let me know so I can help you with that.
Keep me posted!
