Surge Band Issues

I want to start by saying that I love my Fitbit surge and wear it all the time. However, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the band.  I bought mine 2 1/2 years ago and after just barely over a year, the band was already wearing down in several places and ripping apart. Sad to think that just wearing a dress shirt over my wrist would cause this because of poor quality rubber. I received a replacement but now here it is another 1 1/2 years into the replacement and bubbles appear just outside of the face on both ends which grew and now one side has fallen off and I can't wear it anymore.

At $200+, I just can't justify the cost of something that lasts on average 1 to 1 1/2 years and will not be replacing it at my cost. I'll go without or find another product.

@CKRunner If the band is the only issue, Amazon and E-bay sell aftermarket replacements and YouTube has "How to" video's to assist in the replacement process. Good luck.

Exactly the same issue. On my second one in just over 2 years. There really seems to be a faulty band issue on these surges.

I basically have gone through 6 Fitbit devises over the last 5 Years. (2 where replacements). BUT I can’t keep paying out this kind of money. I too am seriously shopping around for a different product.

In the meantime I will have to turn to amazon for a replacement band as a DIY solution to this faulty issue. 😞
