Hello,
I've been a loyal and proud user of Fitbit Surge since Aug 2015. Recently, Surge has become of no use to me since it drains the battery charge so fast. Even after fully charging the watch, it is found that the battery charge drains so fast and the watch completely shuts off. You would need to recharge and sync again to get the correct time. I have tried all possible options to reduce battery usage ( turned off notifications, alarms, quick view, all day sync, and does not even use it for Runs (no GPS usage). Even with these changes, battery charge is not lasting. Can someone please help?

Same situation here...
I'm not sure i want to buy another fitbit when I've had issues with them in the past
My first surge's band broke not long after i got it. Luckily, they sent me a brand new one. I was happy.
It doesn't seem like their customer service is up to par anymore...
My ARIA (first gen) also conveniently died at around the same time that my watch's battery started draining faster...
Might try polaris if I can't find some solution

Having the same charging issue as everyone in the discussion. From reading the mail trail it appears the moderator/Fitbit are not able to address the issues. Can anyone recommend an alternative tracker.

When is FitBit going to stop making excuses. Hundres of customers are complaining about the same battery draining concerns. We pay a lot of money for the product and should have a warranty that lasts longer than 1 year

Anything but Fitbit. The battery drainage issue has to be a software issue. My Surge drained with in an hour or so every day in January of 2019. Since than it was fine until May of 2019. Now the batter dies in about 30 minutes or so. Garmins are a good choice.

Received as a Christmas gift end of 2018, battery life never better than 36hr, an now in June 2019, battery life is as low as 2-3hr. I have done all the items you suggest, to no avail. Fitbit should do the right thing and replace this defective unit. And no, the issue is not "solved". How do I contact Fitbit to talk with them about replacement?

I have been experiencing similar issues with my surge and the support team is not willing to help since it is past warranty. I had issues with my flex as well and it was replaced twice. It’s time to change to other fitness trackers.

Acquired a 2 year old Surge, previous owner said battery needed changing.
I have changed the battery for a new one, I repair smartphones for a living so not hard to do, and it still only lasts for about 4 hours.
I have turned every thing off that has been suggested and it still only last a few hours.
Any suggestions Mr Fitbit? very disappointed with this so far.

This is happening to me also. I have stopped using my Surge-😓 as it doesn't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes. Such a waste.

I bought my Surge two years ago and hadn't used it for the past year. Now I find that a charge is depleted within 4 to 5 hours. I read the warranty, SOL if it's over a year. Can the battery be replaced? I've not seen that question answered on here.
I bought a new Inspire HR and the font size for the BPM is too small to read without my reading glasses - not handy. I gave it to my wife and decided to go back to my Surge, but the battery issue is a big problem now.

I finally replaced my Surge with an Apple 4 watch. Battery last 2 days, and it keeps better track of what calories I’m burning during my workouts. Most of the apps are worthless, but I am happy with the battery life and workout tracking.
