Battery indicator shows full charge but as soon as I unplug, the screen fades and dies.
Surge is 2 or 3 years old. I have tried different chargers and outlets with same results. I have tried resetting the Surge and cleaning the charging contacts. As long as it's plugged in, it seems to sync ok with the app and with the web site (although this has always been a pain in the butt).

Being that old its probably at its End of Life. Mine lasted 3 years before it went to FitBit Heaven
You can try these steps and see if it helps but I have my doubts
Please clean the contacts

If it doesn't help it is out of warranty but Contact Fitbit and see what they can offer you. They do have discounts
