Surge Fog in Screen/band breaking/screen will not swipe

I purchased a Surge November 2016.  Just normal daily wear and routine sweaty jogging.  Never been in the water with it.  The strap is ripping on the underside by the bolts, the screen traps moisture and will not swipe either direction.  There are also visible squares all over the screen.  Only one of the green lights works for the heart rate monitor and I've had it less than a year.  Can this be replaced without buying a new one every few months?  Anyone have one or more of these issues?

Contact support they will replace it under warranty for the first year but once replaced the warranty doesn't start againso 1 year after original purchase when the band fails again on your replacement they will offer you a discount to buy a new device.  Many people on this forum have the same issue and some have bought non fitbit replacement bands from ebay or Amazon and replaced the band themselves . Check out the comments under surge band bubbling or broken there are many on this forum.  Good luck!

My Surge did the same thing last week, I did not submerge the Surge, I just forgot to take it off before I got in the shower. It was a few days before I started the bowl of rice to dry it out. The water/fog is gone after a couple days in rice the touch screen is now working again but the screen (under the glass) looks like it is shattered underneath. Not from physical damage but from the fog? Will the screen go back to normal.... will the shatter disappear in a while? has anyone had the same problem? I am out of the warranty period.  I really enjoy this watch but I'm disappointed with the quality, i thought a sports watch would be water resistant (kinda surprised seeing FITBITS reputation), I guess I will have to change Co/brands the next time . Any advice would be appreciated.
