Surge band change from small to large

 i know that the surge bands were not meant to be changed but could i possibly change the band to small to large i am buying a small but i am a large. i know it would be work to change the bands but i am willing to do it if it can it be done. Can it be done?

plenty of videos on youtube showing you how to replace the strap and straps are available on ebay / aliexpress( to name a couple of options) and have seen a extension for a strap on ebay So should be possible
