Anyone else having severe issues with the band coming apart on their surge? I've gone through 3 in 14 months already. I only wear it if I'm walking or running. I have stopped using it when I work out or play sports because I want it to last, but I'm still not having any luck. Anyone have tips? I'm debating on buying another one because I'm out of warranty. I love the app, but the product has been disapointing so far. I'm hoping there's a good trick to get it to last!

I am on my second one and the band has started bubbling again. The first one was replaced for free, but if I am understanding some of the previous posts, I lost my warranty with the original Surge replacement. I bought this in June, 2016. To have two fail in under a year is extremely disappointing considering the price of this thing.
There is a flaw in the manufacturing process. Fitbit really needs to address that before this problem gets away from them. With all they must have invested in the technology of this device, it seems like it would be a shame for something as simple as a strap would be its undoing.

Agree. Terrible product. I will never buy a Fitbit product again! Again, 3 Surges in 16 months and NOW my 12 month warranty has expired. What a freaking joke!

That is really disheartening. 😞

As far as I can see, the Surges are working fine in all these cases, it's just poor strap design letting them down. This seems a real pity. I think that if there was an after-market alternative strap available, it could give people with out-of-warranty Surges an extra lease of life.
