This was a Christmas present to become a vital tool in my change of profession as a PT.
My Fitbit Surge is out of warranty and based on the community comments it seems as though I will be stuck with a faulty device that I can't even use. The band is falling apart which I am now unable to wear, why is it that such a reputable brand that is trying to compete with the current competitive market in smart watches, can not provide a positive solution to exisiting and future customers.
Fitbit can you advise a solution on my broken band?

if you received 5 months ago shouldn't it be in warranty ?
Also not all lost. Youtube has a few vides showing how to replace strap with purchased items. Good vids

I just called them, even after my warranty expired and they sent me a brand new Surge at no charge and told me to throw my other one away.

It was purchased in 2015 so definitely out of warranty and strongly considering changing brands based on all the negative feedback on the community Fitbit board and the lack of service from Fitbit in response to people's queries and solution requests.

Hi Saisofit01. You can find aftermarket bands for the Surge on Amazon. Do a "Surge band replacement" search and look through the results. If you find one you like get it then go to youtube and there are videos on how to replace it. The Surge has this and other problems for at least 2 years. Don't hold your breath waiting for Fitbit to do anything about it. Like others, after my warranty ends I'm moving on to Garmin and or Tom Tom. Good luck!
