Surge battery life is between 3 to 4 days after 6 months

I've lived my surge, but I've only had it for 6 months and the battery life is down to 3-4 days max - without any GPS tracking. Has anyone else had this issue? Anything I can do?

A warm welcome to the Forums @Jlalich. If your Surge battery is not lasting the time it should, I recommend following the tips in the How do I maximize my tracker's battery life? and My tracker's battery isn't charging articles. If by following these tips you keep having battery problems, feel free to contact our Support Team. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.

I usually just charge my fitbit while in the shower everyday and I never have problems with the battery.

You may have a bad Fitbit....I've gone through 4 in 2 years because the battery goes bad.....loses it's charge within 3 days, and I never use GPS....to Fitbit's credit, they have been great in replacing it every time and I continue to use this product.

I have found even with backlight off, have to charge every night, if I don't want it die, especially if I run heart rate all the time.  They didn't build in a reserve to run the watch, so had enough of no watch and charge every night.  Battery Life stinks, but love the wrist heart rate and step count, and hourly view.  Wish I could get date, time and steps all on one screen as main screen, even heart rate, then swipe for larger read if required.

This is my fourth Surge....previous three worked fine for a month and then wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 2 days. I contacted support, and they monitored it for 24 hours while I "All-day synced"....they agreed they were defective and each time replaced it (great that they were able to determine the problem long-distance!)....my fourth has lasted longer but recently had the same problem and will do the same thing. I use the heart rate but have notifications and GPS off and it has lasted about 5-6 days on a charge.
I will say that customer service has been very good and I'm glad because this product is not cheap. I really don't want a watch and exercise tool that I have to charge every night....

I am having the same problem, it started after the recent updates to the app so I suspect changes in the app have greatly increased the load on the battery so it needs charging much more often.  I have discharged the battery and fully charged several times, all day sync is off, and powered down the surge and restarted it.  No change in the battery life.

Unlike Polar, they didn't build in a reserve to run the watch so when it
runs out of juice, no time displayed. I really need to charge my every
night. If I have to charge it frequently, it is easier to make it a habit to
charge every night than watching for it to run low. Hope they'll fix over
time, but not sure if it is in the Hw of Sw, probably both so don't know how
much they can improve. Love the watch though.
