Surge battery not lasting.

Hello, All: I had uploaded the Firmware update for my Surge a couple of months back; one of the benefits of the software was extended battery life, but tht hasn't been the cae with my Surge. Going on a 2-hour hike on GPS drains the battery from full to almost empty. Is that normal? It did that before the update.

Thanks for reading!

there's several threads with the same issue.  Mine started acting up about a month ago, very suddenly.  Was holding charge for a week, then a few days, now 1-2 days.  A replacment is doing the same thing.

Just went on a 95 minute walk using the GPS to track my route. My Surge was fully charged when I started, now it's less than 50% capacity. I seem to remember it holding a charge better than this?

I would contact customer service. Mine was holding a charge for almost a week. Suddenly dropped to 1-2 days per charge. They did some troubleshooting with me, but ended up sending a replacement. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the problem, so they're trying to send another replacement.

I'm a bit discouraged, honestly

Hey there @BillyK1964! Your Surge's battery should last up to 5 hours when you have all the feature enabled (GPS, notifications, heart rate, music control, etc) I'd also like to recommend making Sure your tracker is charging properly. Please check the following.

- The charging cable is plugged into a working USB port.
- The end plugged into the tracker fits securely.
- While charging, the battery charging icon (lightning bolt) appears at the top left when the Menu is displayed on your Surge.

Let me know if the issue persists!
