Surge cracked and will not charge

Hi my surge hasn't been able to charge since feb. I have tried multiple outlets and even used my sister in laws charger cord. The back of my surge is cracked where the screws are I am not sure how or why that happened. I was looking into buying another but do not have enough funds yet. Do you have any solutions??
