Surge detects movements when im not wearing it.

Dear all,

Purchased a brand new Surge in Sept'16. Have been wearing it for a month?

Everything seems working fine. However, I noticed that this device is detecting movements when I did not even wear it when I was asleep. Im not sure when was the first time that it happened but it has been going on for 2 to 3 times. Im just wondering what could be the cause of it detecting movements when I was asleep and the fact that I'm not even wearing it.

@LJ87 A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your Surge is tracking steps when you are not wearing it. I would like to know if you place your tracker on a surface with vibrations such as an AC system or a desktop with a computer that is turned on. The vibrations could have your Surge to count steps.

If this is not the case, please restart your tracker as advised in Meylin's post. Once this has been done, test your tracker for the next 48 hours and check out if the issue persists.

Keep me posted on the outcome my friend! Smiley Happy
